This poor little bike needs a new home.
I put the registration on hold about Sept. 2011 to save money for my wedding and then promptly got pregnant while on honeymoon.
Consequently the bike's rego is still on hold and I haven't ridden him since. :(
I don't have a garage so the bike has been covered for most of this time, however the weather has destroyed said cover.
I recently tried to get my bike up and running and found that the brake calipers needed to be serviced/replaced, chain needs a good clean, and a new battery is needed.
This could have all been done had the electrics been in good working order.
The bike display turns on but but the engine won't turn over.
Through process of elimination, the spark plug is fine, but the wires are shorting out somewhere along the way from the battery.
There also appears to be a small amount of rust on the forks, but I'm not sure exactly how bad it is as we discovered this after the electrical issue and knew I couldn't get it up and running anyway.
Unfortunately, I don't have the skills, facilities, or money to bring this bike up to spec myself, so he must be sold onto someone who can or wants to use him for parts.
The bike is custom black and red paint job (bought him that way).
Has been dropped a couple of times at low (no) speed, with very minor scratches.
For the Km.. I'm not sure exactly how many there are as I don't have a current working battery but are somewhere between 40 and 45k.
The price I'm looking for is about $700.
I'm not really sure what the going price is for a bike in this condition, so make me an offer and we'll see how we go.
