You must be referring to the 'I cheated' thread, right?

I prefer 263, formerly numbered 262, not too agressive, it basically turns every nut into a nyloc.

He will have to until at least 2019, the earliest he will be able to re apply for a racing licence.

I locked that thread for your own protection, Shaun. After one response I reckoned it was reasonably clear where it was going, and that wasn't likely to be a Happy Place(TM) for you and also a lot of work for Moderators, either pinging posters for abusive comments or removing those comments to the Pointless Drivel thread or both.
I am reserving judgement about this one.

The sentence below is very intriguing, but I guess it comes down to your word against hers Shaun?
If it is fact, Tuckerman himself (could be considered contrived) and could easily just deny any knowledge of that contact seeing that he didn't
make it (the contact) himself.
''Jim Tuckerman's wife contacted me asking me if they supplied money for me to protest a protest would I do it- FACT!''

Mods can lock threads at will or on a whim or for a flight of fancy...its their prerogative.
While there has been a few times I personally have not agreed with some mods decisions, I have always respected their right to make them.
Being a mod would be pretty hard, thankless and poorly paid. I have yet to see one abuse their powers.
Personally I have always found Hitcher to pretty even keeled as far as mods go.
I guess most people will agree with this. Born out by the fact that Hitcher has about one third of his posts with positive rep.

That's because his grasp of the English language is so good. No other reason.

A grasp of the English language is one thing, but it is not often why people place positive rep, I find myself it is the ideals raised, rather than the language that expresses it.
On the other hand, indeed it does seem, most of his negative rep as been accumulated for being a Grammar Nazi........

Isn't that what mods are for on an internet forum?
Rant had been had, what further discussion was required?

I may not have posted here long, but I have been on numerous forums for a very VERY long time - IMO I am not surprised at the fast lock.
The OP contained a number of incendiary statements - with 'FACT' after each one, without presenting any source or corroborating evidence. - This will always lead to a Flame War
Next the OP made personal attacks against people based on their IRL conduct (not their forum conduct) - this is going to amplify the fall out from the Flame War, once people start attacking peoples offline behavior - it never ends amicably
Finally - Assume that the thread was allowed to run its course - what benefit would it bring to KB? How would it enhance the Forum? what pearls of wisdom would it impart from experienced Bikers to Novices? I would wager that the net result of the thread would be pages of inflammatory remarks (some probably bordering on illegal) and nothing more.
I agree with the Mods on this one - as amusing for me as it would be spectate such a flame war, it would only end in fallout on various peoples faces.
Good Job on call Mods.
