Because you'd scored a suspension and wanted to slow down, right?

Nice bike, cunt.

I read somewhere today as Im rebuilding my partners CBR. I read that using a non-scratch scouring pad you use for dishes works well for cleaning motors. Im going to give it a try on the weekend and let you know if you'd like.

Wot Rhys said, soda blasting does work, but care must be taken to completely remove all residue or else it starts eating the ali.
Result is instant and mostly permanent.

I have a plastic drill attachment that looks like a revolving wire brush. the plastic has small grit in it that you activate by using it on concrete then your away. Works a treat on engine housings if you want to go to bare ally.

Its off the shelf from Bunnings.

I also took the paint off my petrol tank with it.

Just skinny enough to get between air fins also.
Theres different versions also that the bristles face down.
About $15 and has done a tank plus brick engine and forks. That's used about 1/4 of its bristle length.

Just be careful with the side covers and the "rocker" cover on the Gixxer. They are Magnesium, not Aluminium and will crumble if badly oxidised.
