Another month has passed! Where did that go?

October issue has the scoop on the new Suzukis, an excellent SI tour feature and Moroney's fiction piece is a gem.
Lots of new bikes in the news and Humpster's report on the Husaberg has me wanting to try one.
At the printers - It'll be out next week.

Bit disappointed that the September issue of Kiwi Rider had such an out of date write up on the Catlins, it is all sealed now and a great ride (ask those that came that way to the Pissed Penguin) and pretty new to the touring scene.

However I guess things CAN change pretty quick on the roading front.

Cheers Dave, look forward to seeing it.

I've just test-ridden a Suzuki Boulevard S83, and thought I'd have a crack at writing a review. Do you reckon KR would be interested?

And MacKay an Invercargillite too.
Just the amount of stuff that gets submitted. Sometimes it's months before he finds a spot for my dribblings.
My Road King quick spin is in this one.

Woo Hoo!!

I'll wait by the letter box like a little boy at christmas.

I was planning on giving it to you next pub night - but now I might just administer a few 'gangster slaps' instead.

'First in Print' are the printers.
All I can say is Sorry - I've got 2 copies here and they are all OK.
Send Julie an email
admin@kiwirider.co.nz
She'll send you a complete one when the stock turns up at the office.
She might ask you to return the dud so we can go back to the printers too.

They obviously have no class.

Adds:
I don't know why they don't - it's selling very well and the new format is getting good feedback - You could always subscribe

Big surprise to see my letter got into print and without the usual Editors licence to cut and paste that the Dompost are so good at. Freedom of the press does live on.
Hey but that picture looks familiar???seen it lurking on here somewhere. No doubt my royalties cheque is in the mail.
Now I'm all in favour of tasty pictures of naked people on bikes but p7.. whooa boys back the bus up, wrong way, U-turn, no exit, turn back. Not what I had in mind. I'm sure you can do better next month and good to see you asked for readers to help send in pictures. It can't possibly get worse than that old codger.
And what gives with Suzuki naming a bike a M50? Dumb idea. I'm only guessing but do they mean 50 cubic inches? Or do they just like boring UK motorways so much they named a bike after one. Hope its not an indication on their view of the bike. Can't wait to get me an A12 or M4 or ... the options are endless. or more like endlessly boring.

Holy crap those new GSXRs look HOT as hell, but they look small - you probably will have to be the size of a japanese race monkey to fit on one comfortably.

We all face temptation son :devil2: . For me it usually comes in a form with two wheels or two boobs attached. Praise the Lord the force is strong in you :apumpin: .

Hey there Dave, have read the October copy of KR and enjoyed it. An irritating habit of writers is to label a road or trail etc as waiting to be discovered!!! The article on back roads to Dunedin, with photos was refreshing to see our own roads and areas etc. Why are they waiting to be "discovered". What do they think we do down here? Wait around for someone to discover our roads so we can then go and ride on them!! Maybe I am being a bit precious or something but the roads have always been here. What have we been riding on for the past forty years. Cheers John.
