Christchurch trailriders from the 70s and 80s: who remembers?

the old army shed tucked away in the forestry somewhere around the Weedons Ross Rd area not too far away from the waimak river, give or take a few K's up or down stream?, I recall going there a few times with mates when out trail riding and seeing old Army vehicles stored inside shed and maybe a old tank of such like, sitting outside.
Anyone recall what happened to the shed or even where it was sited??

You sure it wasn't at the Army firing range on Old West Coast road?

Possibly but it wasn't on private property and was well tucked away in the middle of a large forestry block, we really just came across it quite accidentally.
Others I know had been there as well, but no-one seems to recall where it was.

Yup....I remember that place....there was a large building that contained all kinds of old military vehicles....strange...it was in the middle of nowhere (no it wasn't on the range) I remember trying to crawl underneath the tank to get inside it- (motor had been removed) late 80s- early 90s for me...

There was some shit like that around the paint ball area in the 'protected' zone off Miners Bank Rd near Chattertons Rd.
