Hi All.
I'm new into NZ and have about three months to tour around the two islands. I'd love to meet some Kiwi Bikers as I travel round so it would be good to hear about any events I could drop in to this summer.
Mainly though, I need advice and information on shipping my bike by sea to Australia next March. I anticipate a ship from Auckland to Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. So I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's done this recently and can recommend a shipper or give any other advice.
Cheers al,
Geoff

Welcome to the site and the country.
Cannot help with shipping info, but just follow your nose around the country and it will lead you where you need to be. :niceone:

Hi Mate, have a good trip!

We shipped our bikes Auckland-Sydney return a few years back with Go Logistics & were happy with the service. Crate it up, be fussy with the cleaning.

Sydney is the cheapest & easiest place to ship into usually. You'll need a carnet. Otherwise the bike will be good to go in NSW if road legal in home country. There are various insurance etc requirements for foreign vehicles in other Oz states which you are best to ignore totally as virtually nobody knows exactly what they are.

If you want to catch up for a beer/BBQ in Rotorua get in touch.

Check out the Adv/dual purpose section on here for local rides, also the NZ section of Advrider.

Cheers
Clint

Hi Clint.
Thanks for the info and the invite. I'll be leaving Rotorua today but will be back around sometime so I might take up your invite.
I'll have a look at that company's website and see what I cane find out.
Cheers,
Geoff
