Motorcycle towing cradle/dolly

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year.
I am looking to tow my ZX10. After looking at multiple options (including trailers) seems like the Motorcycle cradle dolly would be the easiest/cheapest option.
Anyone had any experience with these?

Couple of questions for these:
- Does anyone in NZ sell these?
-Anyone use these before? Any experience?
-What is the tongue capacity required for the towbar. The bike weighs 200kg approx. I have a 2004 nissan Teana and getting a standard towbar installed soon.
- Would a standard towbar tow this? I am assuming most of the weight is not vertical. Correct?
-I assume the wear on the tyre is minimal. I will only be towing 100kms at a time.

However the capacity of these are normally 150kgs but i have seen some on ebay that have capacity upto 250kgs.
I think the problem with these is the tongue capacity of a standard car towbar is pretty low. Way lower than 200kgs.
Am i right? or will this option work too?

Not good idea.
Cradle will slide your tyre sideways on a vertical bike and destroy good tyres especial sports ones.
I would put anything heavier than a small mx bike on back carrier unless it was a custom built unit on the rear of a house bus.

Build a trailer.

is there some cover (like tyre warmers) i can put on the tyre to cover and to avoid tyre wear. Like a condom for the tyre :)

Is not important its just my van for sale.
Unless your planning to have a spare wheel on the bike for transporting idd forget towing it. Even then if something goes wrong your going to have no bike left.
Trailer is cheapest option. Build your own or buy a cheap trailer and convert it to motorcycle trailer

One would assume you would pull wheel off role chain up refit wheel and run it without chain connected.

BAD idea IMO. Some arse will run up the back of it or pull out behind you no seeing the bike.

But mainly I'd not feel comfortable about by bike being hitched like that.

Oh I will order a couple of those. I go to Hampton as well from Auck and there is no way in hell I would tow like that and my bike is worth half of a ZX10. Just get a trailer. Easy as and cheap to register.

So simple to make one yourself, 19mm ply may not look as flash but my one worked well. Had a lift out front board and a 'drop in ' section that fitted within the A frame type drawbar to allow for the bike wheelbase.
