Hi,
Just wondering if any one has any recommendation for roadside assistance providers and/or specific plans. I'm looking for one on the odd chance I were to break down somewhere to help out.
Any pointers or anyone had any experience with this?
Cheers,
Dan

You'd get more responses if you asked this in a BMW forum :devil2:

AA plus. Stator died on the Molesworth and they dropped it to my door (I was only 2 hours or so from home though). Have used them for jump starting a few times as well when I've been lazy/to justify it.
The plus plan gives you around $800 for alternate travel, accommodation or hire cars as well. Have never had to use that sort of thing but it's good to know it's there if I get caught out.

All the tools in the world won't do you any good if your stator craps out, or the "brain" decides to pack it in :bleh:
Otherwise... good advice :niceone:

The service is always pretty top notch.
My old man is getting on and needed to change a 35" tyre (20-30kg?) on one of my old cars he was using. Rung them up and the dude went above and beyond to help him lift it on and a few other small things. Was a young dude (apprentice) too. Think dad slipped him some booze for the effort haha.

WTF was it? A hillman supersnipe with truck tires on it? I'm picking 4x4, but their not cars.

I'm with Swann via Kiwibike, and yes, it has a roadside assistance package. However, read the fine print, it's quite restrictive in terms of cost etc.
I'm an AA member, got AA Plus, reckon that's your best option, as it covers you, not the bike, so whatever you're driving/riding.

AA have always got me home when it's been local. Middle of nowhere I take my chances, I could have paid a lot of money by now for a service I've never used, so if I have to get myself home at some point I'm still winning.
