Hey guys I was just wondering if the Honda CB250 Nighthawk is LAMS approved? Just that I was on the Nz transport page and it doesn't say its prohibited or approved

Cb250. Yes. Its a 250.

The 2 stroke 250s (aprilia rs250, honda nsr etc) are the disallowed 250s, everything else is fine

"All motorcycles with engine capacities of 250cc and under, except for those on the LAMS-prohibited list above."

.............The above list is containing 2smokers that are prohibited...................

Its very clear that any 250 not on the prohibited list is accepted.

Prohibited bikes 250cc list.

Aprilia RS250 (all models and variants) 250
Honda NSR250 (all models and variants) 250
Kawasaki KR1 (all models and variants including KR250) 250
Suzuki RGV250 (all models and variants) 250
Yamaha TZR250 (all models and variants) 250

The 20hp 235cc twin... flat out top speed 130km/h... yeah that'll be a lams bike... hell some of the 125cc scooters are faster :-P

I guess itd be a good way to learn tho, you have to learn good corner lines etc
