I know its a biker forum, thus the off-topic section.

Currently got a Audi A4 1.8 Turbo Quattro MTM

It's getting older so parts are gonna get expensive for it so it's best for me to sell it. I need a new car and have no idea what I should get.

Would prefer Japanese but if you've driven euro before you know what I'm on about.

Requirements:

Manual
Leather
Classy/Neat
Fast
Sedan
or Coupe
No hatchbacks

Just like my current car it's got a good mixture of class and has that racer vibe to it.

Thoughts, opinions with pics would be helpful!

Under 8k. Cheaper the better.

You might be able to pick up a second hand early model Altezza with those specs and price. Plenty of Legacy's around for cheaper, but probably don't fit what you appear to be after as well as an Altezza.

Or mid 2000s Mazda 6 (but its a hatch) like this one if you had a bit more dough to play with:

Agree with the Altezza. Golf too but manual's may have had a hard life. Subaru is still the number one target for being nicked.

Beemers are heaps cheaper for parts than Audis, lots of parts importers for them. Often find them cheaper than Ford or Toyota parts, just gotta know where to look.

You're right. A manual car may have been thrashed to within an inch of its life its entire life by a prescription drug-addled religious nut, hooning all over town with the car loaded beyond its payload capacity full of Watchtower magazines and with complete disregard for routine servicing or maintenance. Of course this would not be possible with an automatic because we all know that 9.8 out of 10 prescription drug-addled religious nuts refuse to drive automatic vehicles as they are the work of Satan himself.

Anything's possible.

IIRC Some Toyota Soarer/ Lexus SC300 uses similar 2JZ inline-6 engine. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Work mates brother sold this for 3,600. I'm pissed off, I asked to buy it a month ago and he wouldnt sell it to me coz the divorce peperwork etc, then he lists it and doesnt let me know. Dick.

It's now sitting in Bay view (5min north of Napier) on the side of the road with a sign for $5800 on it.

Was a good car, test drove it and everything. (work mate was borroing it for a few weeks)
