Nice cr.
Café racers a bobbers becoming popular now. Even more overseas so I guess we will catch up.
Its easy to calculate what they owe as mines going to reach 6k plus countless hours but working out what they are worth is the hard part.
Made my one to keep it unless I get a silly offer I cant refuse.
Good luck. Guess its about finding the right person that counts to buy it.

Did you need a mirror on the right hand side for WOF or did they let it slide.
Im hoping mine looks half as good as yours does when finished.

It went through revn with just 1 mirror, didn't have any when it went in so was just a quick fix for its recheck. Been meaning to put new ones on but haven't got around to it.
just buy this 1, already complete!

Offers around 3300,
how'd they vin it with the plate more than 15degrees from vertical?
Seraph
3rd March 2015, 21:12
They walked around it and ticked off some paperwork.. After all, in 2015 who is a vinz inspector to question a plates orientation.
but in all honesty it didn't have a plate when it went for its Vin. It can't go anywhere else and any less angle it starts being shredded by the Tyre.

That's cool (apart from the can), got any more pics?
Seraph

The plan was to polish it, yellow just isn't my thing.. I'll try to take some more tomorrow.

that's a weak excuse in the face of legislation that states a plate must be within 15 degrees of verticle for a low volume vehicle or a new vehicle.

Those handlebars are the fugliest thing I've ever seen on two wheels.

Well that's good then since it's neither new nor low volume.

Sick build, man! I've had my eyes on getting a cafe racer for ages (lack the skills to properly build one myself!)

Nice looking bike, although it would be in your own interests to add more than just one picture... ;)
How many KM's have to put on it with the new air filter setup?

Its not on the check list.
Last one I did they gave me the plate to install when I got home.
Plate angle isn't a WOF check either.
Trimming plate edges isn't legal but also not on WOF checklist.

FYI it may be on the LAMS list, but that is not a LAMS-compliant bike.

All models and variants are on the list, it says may not be modified to increase the power to weight ratio of the bike
Since some of these came out of the factory with over 75hp its arguably still within factory spec for the model.
Up to the rider really.

It has a fart cannon and by law standards it is to increase power to weight. I'd also hazard a guess at it being lighter than stock

Need be a little careful as it looks like its going to be lighter than stock.
You should bolt 10kg down low and let new owner decide if he/she wants to drop the anchor.

I'm not entirely sure if I have a chunk of steel than weighs 10kg..let alone finding a place to strap it..
Regardless whether or not it's suitable it doesn't have to be purchased by a learner rider anyway.

How much weight do you think came off it just outa interest.
I took 70kg off mine but that's mostly touring fairings and exhaust.

How on earth did you manage a WOF with no chain guard or rear reflector? Here is me preying mine will get passed.

Will sell for $2800 in its current condition, it needs a new chain as a few links are crazy stiff and don't track around the sprocket correctly. Causing a loud annoying click.

Not sure what size its running but I have a new 532 chain if its a big old school size.

Think it's 530 if that's the same. No shops here carry it..round 114 links.i think
How much do you want?

532 is not the same. Its a odd size that was on some bikes. Check your rear sprocket may have sizes printed on it. The chain possibly has sizes on every second link also.

Was fun a I did not spend a lot. I put in the quarter miles and it had 165kph max speed LOL. Turned out to have a cracked valve.
Someone in ChCh bought it and was going to install a 790 kit etc.
It did encourage me to get into post classic racing which was a good thing.
