Yeah, the speed display unit probably wouldn't read that high in reality. Rider isn't that blurred either but ...

Fine day
How far would he be moving at that speed in a 500th or 1000th of a second...
hold on... calculating

thehollowmen

87.5 m/s

or...
0.175 m in the time it takes for a shutter to snap on a fine day.

or
0.0875 m (8.75cm) in the time it takes a shutter to snap on a VERY fine day, using a half decent film.

They are using a fast speed, that's why the lights for the 315 haven't come up very well.

Not saying it ain't photoshopped, but don't expect it to be blurred.

No number plate?

Photoshopped.

There should be a gap by the 1 digit to make up any extra numbers like in a digital display.

Rrrrr, I knew that there was something wrong. I just couldn't put my finger on it...

However, in saying that, this is just the sort of situation, those "less responsible riders" like to set up
"hey you guys, who can get the highest reading on the overhead speed camera thingy down........"

Obvious but clever stuff and good fun. I enjoy these "lateral" postings. John.

i agree, and think it's PS'd, but the speed seems to be lit up in LED lights, so there's no reason why there has to be a set digit 8 gap for each digit. But then again, there's no room for '888' which is never needed, but would cover all the numbers to display. And it can't display that, cos it's too short..

You know, you always get technical at the wrong times, lol

Ah but then is there room to even hit 200 on that display?

Exactly! The "3" doesn't stand up to close scrutiny either (the ends of the "bars" from which the numbers should be comprised are missing).

Pity really, I loved it when I first saw this picture. So much so I pinned it on my wall at work. Until I noticed the lack of space around the 1.

On the right bike it coulda bin done... And that bike was the right colour?

Anyone that has done 300k + will know that you can't do it sitting up like that . Still worth a look

Hillarious picture but suspect. He's sitting too high in the saddle for 315kph then again he may be backing off after seeing he's slightly exceeded the recommended speed limit. If it was a Honda I'd definitely believe it.

Correct a mundo.

Mind where you  though eh ?

The rider may have slowed to see what the reading was, but it's probably bs.

Does look like a Honda though...so anything is possible.

More evidence of PS meddling; what countries drive on the right, have english signage and use metric speeds? Scenery and motorway looks very Italian to me, trucks as well.

Not that any more evidence is necessary, just thought I'd add my 2c worth.
