I will let him divulge the details to you all but as of yesterday our resident Blenheimer ex-GN owner now has a new bike. Its a lot faster than the GN and will cost a bit more in maintenace. He is riding it back home from CHCH today.
Can you guess what it is?
(It is not MY bike)

gsxr across... most people say they are a fair amount maintenance.
That black one that was on here on thurs night I think... he was looking at it.
Across it is then. Quite touchy buggers I find.

Nope, not quite. His questions on maintenance were originally for a 2 stroke.

this is long winded and a waste of your time to read, but by all means, its your time!
son of a bitch is back in blenheim ! thats right, im home at 9pm
holy drama's fuck, and with that, here is a little tale by zerax
1pm i arrive outside holy grail in chch centre and contemplate having a few drinks, but mate turns up bang on time and off we go round the stores, serious lack of 250's around, all the zxr's that i saw and wanted to take out on bikepoint had been sold in snap of your fingers
i get a phone call from 3 odd trademe people about their bikes, an apirlia RS250, and 2 ZXR250's, im dead keen on the aprilia - it being the bike of my dreams for last 2 years - at this point i go round there as soon as he rings me back, i take it for a nice spin and LOVED hearing it howl like a wind of razor blades as i sped down the street in the mighty powerband. im sold!
i take it back and leave to go get change of registration papers and the big wad of cash, wait on, its 4;40pm, all the banks have just closed infront of my face and kiwibanks dont and wont serve westpac, so i decide im destined to stay in chch overnight.
i go back with my mate to his place in the cpit student halls and begin drinking when i get a phonecall from another guy who saw my cell number on a zxr auction on trademe , he was planning to put his zxr on trademe the next week but if im interested it'd save him the hassle.
i tell him ive already found a bike and thanks etc and continue drinking and go to the cinema. SUDDENLY IT STARTS DAWNING ON ME
how much is it going to cost to keep this aprilia!??!? not only money but in time, time spent off the bike between at rebuilds, tweaking, etc, i start thinking about how thou as sexy as it is, unsatisfying it was in anything but the powerband and weither or not ill make it home without it seizing on me, i want to do alot of km's on next bike, i consider my options.
i ring this fellow with the zxr back in the morning after a drunken night which involved me getting a minor phsyical check up by some nurses in study, and the most intense games of pictionary ill ever have
i go take his zxr for a spin, its an old 89 with 33000km's, i think ok~, why not
i go look, looks tidy enough, take it for a spin, nice i think
smoooooooooth
loving the smoothness of it and certainly powerful enough, and i start wondering why people ride 250 2strokes at all. im happy with the offer and i embark on my next quest
FINDING AN OPEN BRANCH ON A SATURDAY
finally find an open westpac hidden away, go back, take the bike
IM HEADING HOME!
------------------
my mate tells me how to get onto the motorway from where i am and i follow his directions, but apparently not correctly, i find my self going all thrrough a maze of suburbs and a million big roundabouts with NO signs at all pointing towards the motorway or picton etc
i end up in emerton dr in rangiora, i pull over and ring my mate telling him he fucked up with his directions, and he busts out the map, sweet, im on my way again
wait a minute, bikes not starting
what the hell1?!?!111
i check the tap etc as starter motor sounds like its doing its job, im playing with all sorts of bits and pieces and in the process play with the idle winding the fucking idle knob too loose and it comes out, grr now i have to hold throttle when idling, what a piss off, mate comes to rescue to show me how to get on motorway and he has tools in his bighorn
take fairing off put knob back on, leave bike for bit longer, full throttle hit the switch Vrooom LIFE!, off to the cafe to get a drink after this annoying soap opera
, get to motorway entrance after a drink and pull over to see mate off
as im pulling over bike cuts out, wth is up now~
wont start O_o
couple of bump starts and its going again, finallllllly im on my way, motoryway is right fucking there and i need to get back to blenheim, rest of journy home is riddled with bike cutting out and dying, bump starts and leaving the bike for bit, all the while getting nowhere, kekarangi is where the old man pics me up, some photos attached
- battery flat as a pancake and wiring doesnt look to be the best in the bike, job for tomorrow to take it apart and find out for certain what the culprit is
things that i need to do, sort out cutting out problem, adjust front shocks and sort out front brakes, get a new fucking seat made - perhaps one that comes up infront a bit and helps protects my Penis and Testicles,
clean it all up and make everything purty~
besides all that, yea, nice, certainly fast and loud enough to put a big grin on my face, specially when i finish sorting the bitch out! hoho and i bought home half the money i took down with me, not a bad effort
now i start saving for a brand new 600cc bike for when i get my full whenever that may be
to be continued!

Like sniper said, put your money where your mouth is. I'll let him take the mikey out of you and once I've got the new bike, well are you that dumb? :shake:
Edit: Zerax, well done on the bike purchase dude. As Murphy's Law, I found a good & cheap CBR954RR that i could have had for a fraction of the cost of the new bike... Oh well, I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the new bike anyway :soon:
