Yes I know it's a Hyosung or Hyobag or Hyodung or Hyo-what-a-piece-of-junk as some folk say, but it's mine and I love it.

2 years ago I rode out of the showroom a proud owner of a brand new ST7. I traded into faithful Aquila for it and have never looked back.

I've ridden it just about every day, I ride to work during the week, go for blast at the weekend and take longer cruises when the calendar allows.

Apart from one blow out last year I have had nothing but great riding with this bike, 650cc of comfortable cruising and easy commuting. Plus Hyosung themselves have serviced it and looked after me better than I could have wished for.

So, not the sexiest or 'bikey-ist' of models but I'm happy, it gets me on the road and plants a smile on my mush

Then that makes it a very good bike! My C50T may not have been the perfect bike but for me and the Missus it was close enough

Good on ya FM. Sounds like a match made in heaven. How many kilometres per pie does it do?

Oooh need to check that stat. reckon its 200km per Mince and Cheese but you could squeeze an extra 50km with a potato top. Natural methane propulsion after a chicken Tikka and cabbage pie would give you at least 400km's though

...My girls first bike was an Aquila, she liked the colour...went well, she loved it, sold for as much as she paid...I used a Hyosung on saturday, racing at Ruapuna, had a blast...I even hired it from another racer...my main reason for doing it was to find out what they actually go like on the track, not that I ever want one, but I needed to know...I think as a start to racing , something like the Hyosung is a good way in for new riders, probably works for the road too...

Yeah FM, when I was looking at moving up from my Hyosung GV250 the local agents loaned me an ST7 for the weekend, it was more than 650 then - something like 685 if I recall so it seems as if they've moved the engine size down for LAMS. (The local agents also loaned me a Kawasaki W800 for an overnight as well, gee they did their best to sell me a new bike!) Here in Oz Hyosung market the ST7 as the GV650 Classic for the LAMS market.

Liked the ST7, it came down to that or the Boulevard M50 I eventually bought. Also took the Gv650 (V-Rod look alike) on loan out over the Kaimais, that was a nice bike too but a sportier seating position than the cruiser style ST7.

I did 24,000 km on my L and P on my GV250, great little bike, her name was G L O R I A ! Cheap, reasonably reliable, fun bike riding.

Where you been anyway?

Not been on for a while, been around but to be honest I have been battling with so called 'club members' on the Fat Bikers facebook page, which thankfully is now gone......along with the small minded plastic fuckwits who live their lives on there supping latte's and taking photos of their food when they should be riding, drinking and shagging.

Yep, tis great to be back

@FM - perhaps you might consider turning off BookFace. I haven't had a FB since 2009 (since an ex-furry triangle set it up for me). I don't waste an hour a day comparing my life to theirs, I don't have to put up with all the narcissistic bullshit, and I'm out there living instead.

In 50 years time we'll look back at FB as some sort of weird fad, and we'll note it as the turning point where people actually started to value their privacy. Or, it'll be the turning point where 24/7 self video started…

but, but, but if I did that then who would know what my lunch looked like after I had ridden to a cafe with a bunch of people who would sooner stare at their phones than talk to each other...??:shit:

Sorry, I was taking a selfie while I was drinking this amazing soy-skinny-mochafrappalattechino - what did I miss?

List of people I'll shoot when I take control of the country (this is not the complete list, I don't want some people to get advance warning):
- People who text and drive.
- Fuckers who snap twit their fucking lunches
- Anyone who owns a Prius
- All country music singers. Especially the dead ones, I'll shoot those fuckers twice.

I have a special hate for a tool I saw the other day. Tool is a hipster, probably a barista, and he rides one of those ultra cool tiny unmuffled small displacement bikes that he probably bought from a catalogue. He parked up, front wheel into the curb facing downhill, then he made his entrance into the cafe next door to be greeted by an insanely hot 20 something blonde chickee. Proving that image wins every time.

That can be tedious and one flat white looks pretty much like every other flat white. Unless you happen to be at Hanmer Springs.

I'd make an exception for the GP circus people snapping their dinner 'cause they are travelling lots and have some interesting meals. Probably have some interesting symptoms after some of them as well.

Oh, and Max is a lucky man having a bike that he likes and is not having to spend his time looking for the replacement.
