Big deal I know to many of the bike mechanic legends that call KB their home....

But anyone that knows me (especially those that witnessed the 'Headlamp' incident) will know I am as good with bike mechanics as O J Simpson is with the truth, fucking useless.

However, my front right indicator had shit itself completely so I got a whole new assembly (lamp, lamp holder, bracket, cable, loom connector, nuts, bolts and other shite) and away I went.

I needed to take off the indicator bar from the spokes, remove the old, wire in the new and put it all back together and fuck me sideways it worked first time.

Yes, small stuff for many of you folks but for me it is something as strange as a nice South African. I am proud, my balls have expanded, i'm on the piss and the missus better look out cos the giggle stick might come out to play tonight.

Pisstaking welcome but if anyone wants to snog my face off then please feel free

Right then, sausage time....

Sounds like you had allowed it to run out of turn-signal oil previously. Check the level in the new one frequently.

As another who has braved the terrors of indicator replacement (twice) without a mechanic on hand or even a safety rope, I applaud you brave sir!

Is it going to stay in place for the up coming longer rides though :P

But seriously you have to be careful doing mods to the bike, you might have been bitten by the "must buy more stuff" to bolt on if you didn't take precautions

Just keep going Max. Fixing and fiddling really tie you to your bike. It's a zen thing.
