Registration, new plate, and 6 months licensing is NZD$331.03. With 12 months licensing it's NZD$591.69.

Add WOF to that as mentioned above, and they might have a fee for a full tank of fuel too that they add in there.

If you are spending that much ask for nothing less than a hand-job from the accounts gal on completion of the sale.

Oddly you are likely to be able to negotiate on the bike with some 'extras' than get rego out of them.
Can they claim back the rego cost? is it something like that? Maybe when they take a new bike for registration on behalf of the owner the admin girl gives then a free ......

Thanks for the tips
I thought it was going to be more, like GST and all the other crap.
In oz it can cost $1500 to $2000 for on roads, stamp duty, rego etc
I thought about bringing the 1290 but the roads are so good in NZ and really want a sport bike with a little bit of comfort.

I just bought a bike from a dealer, which needed ORC's added, they normally only put one month on for free, but they gave it three months and full tank of gas.

Sweet...bring it over and swap for my RSV4 then. It's certainly a sports bike with little comfort
