Russell back road is fine, even some fences have been repaired resulting in less wondering stock-just watch out for the tourists who go far too fast and love hugging the centre line (and often over it)--Twin Bridges was fine when I last rode it 2 months ago-The forest I am unsure of.

Rode through Twin Bridges last Friday.
They have started to harvest the forests and there is a constant stream of logging trucks heading south to the port, no problem for us as we were heading north to Kaikohe. It would be a pain heading south though. It looks as though they are cutting just by the twin bridges themselves as there were no trucks north of there.
Cheers
