Pic shows the clear and obvious point at which the two compounds meet. There is a step between the two - about maybe 0.5mm.

This tyre has done 8000km so far. Michelin PP3.

Going by pictures and what you're saying slofox, the PP3 is a better bet than the S20 ????
Mileage seems better than the pre evo bridgestone at least ?

I can't get out at the mo, still, to get more kms on my pre evos.By the time my knee is fixed it'll be winter again.

Yeah, the PP3 has done great service in the wear department. I would be through nearly 1.5 S20's by now. Haven't tried the evo yet but even Bridgestone only claim 20% extra.

I'm about 6000km into a set of T30s, they have the same colour change, but no difference in height of the rubber
