Ah right. So drive the slowest shitbox you can, make sure you follow the rules to the letter irrespective of the outcome, make it impossible to have a pleasant AND safe journey, blame everything except driver incompetence and fuck everyone else so long as you are OK?
I see.
I have been doing it wrong.

I've just finished watching the entire thing.
I absolutely abhor the message that it sends that it is ok to be incompetent behind the wheel. That it's ok to make mistakes, because someone else is covering your arse.
The whole idea behind the assertions made that 'Jenny' is a good, safe driver because she 'normally' negotiates a particular road 'safely' is utterly ridiculous.
That video has actually irritated the shit out of me. It's just saying that taking no responsibility for your actions is totally ok.

Watched it myself and disagree with a lot of it.
I'll take it down.
Sorry for the 20 minutes I wasted, mine and yours.

But now i'm interested (not in the idea, but where/why/how). Where did it come from, and is it about to be the motivation behind future policy decisions?

And the well thought out negative crap begins...
For me it highlighted the fact that we are all human, mistakes and trajedies are happening everyday. As a top down approach the safe system has it's merits, minimise harm where possible, Jenny was in a cheap car driving on an inferior road with unplanned obstacles, I may be a bit cynical but nothings going to change there soon.
We were told that Jenny was a good driver, how do we know?, if she had a gold star from the police training college we could say she was but just having a license is not indicative.
A 20 minute vid can't cover all the base's, I personally don't like the idea of accepting accidents will happen, how could Jenny's accident have been avoided should have just as much priority.
Overall it's at least a more scientific approach to the problem but there is no solution without driver education and responsibility.

Don't be like that. All information is necessary. All of it has a point and it is better to be forewarned.
I fizz at the bung because I've spent my adult life working on my attitude and skills and still suffer unpleasantness while others seem to wander about causing chaos in a blithe fashion.
