I've just started my first restoration project after ending up with 2 1980 PE175's. Both of them need a fair bit of work and clean up, one has been used and is fairly worn, the other isn't high use but has been sitting in the back of a open barn for about 15 years.
I am looking at purchasing a soda blaster like this http://www.trademe.co.nz/building-renovation/tools/airtools-compressors/sanders-sand-blasters/auction-842507858.htm.
Has anyone used anything similar for a resto project? I am concerned whether I will be able to get to the bottom of the fins on the barrel and head to clean out all the paint.
Are there any other methods out there that are suitable for cleaning up barrels and heads?
Also looking for recommendations on who to use to bore the barrel out.
Cheers
