What is a 2008 crf250r worth? This guy said its a 2006 frame with an 08 motor, but seems to have it listed really cheap but not selling?? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=845212980

It isn't worth shit. Frame and motor not original and it's rough as guts condition wise. Those things are hand grenades if not correctly maintained and I doubt that one has been properly looked after.
I wouldn't buy it for any price.

Looking at that picture and lack of any info on up keep.

That bike could cost $1800 + full rebuild + valves + lets say $500 on odds and ends. $8K

You'll find better for cheaper, I'd pass on that.

Offer him $1500 cash, ride it until it explodes, sell the parts (forks, frame, wheels etc) on TM. Done.

Haha yeah, it was for a mate who wont listen to my advice on getting a 2 stroke 250 for his first dirtbike, went and had a look at the honda it was a piece, ended up getting him an 04 rmz250 in good nick for $2000
