Hopefully it will make it to the TV. Unlikely though, we barely even get to see the AMA road race champs anymore.

i dont really know the rules for the class over there, but what size if the Ducati they run and are they restricted? i know the harley's were restricted and now have been restricted less to give them a bit more horsespower as the kawasaki's (EX650's) were dominating the miles,

Only a matter of time until the XR get's put out to pasture. The new Street 750 will become their base as the race bike.

how long since they have produced the XR750?, I thought they might have used the 883, with out restricters,

God only knows mate! You can still buy a crate XR750 engine...but here they're about 24k! Think the 750 will have far better tuning potential than the 883. It's far more modern in design.

You mean it is a long stroke carbed v twin 2 valve push rod motor instead of a long stroke carbed v twin 2 valve push rod motor?

That's a negative Batman. It's an overhead cam four valve that's liquid cooled and fuel injected.

I would love to try flat track now, but are a bit nervous that my left hip would turn to shit due to the past injuries to my pelvis, if I fuked up, which I would as a learner and ended up stabbing my foot into the ground as such and wrenching my hip

Just have a crack at speedway, easier to have a go on a speedway bike than a dirt tracker in NZ.

Speedway would be even more demanding on my hip man i reckon. I have ridden speed way bikes in the past in the UK. Flat track to me looks real close to road racing with a sliding, and I see the leg as a stabiliser rather than a controlling tool like in speedway? prob over simplified it though knowing me

Intriguing indeed. Bayliss' performance in the race he set up in Aus was great. I thought it might be contrived, obviously not. Posted the vid on here awhile ago.
IIRC the AMA are streaming a lot of racing now.

You did, and they are. MotoAmerica will also be releasing a lot more of the road racing scene this year

Honda works bikes did it in the 80's 4 or 5 times
A privateer won the series on it as late as 93.
Honda officially pulled out after the AMA started "altering" the rules to suit the Harleys.....

I will be getting a ER650 model unit. A mate over there has one I can start on in a few months when I head over there for other reasons:wings: Fek it is gunna be fun. I have spent hours over the last few days watching racing on youtube. The left leg is only really taken off the peg so as to load the outer peg more for traction. And there is lots of AIR fence tracks for me to fek up and end up in to learn about doing it.

Yea man, I reckon if I ever loaded my left hip up like that, there would be Titanium poking out through my leathers haha. I cannot weight to get over there now and give this a go though. Now have an ER650 flat tracker in the Michigan area, and a Ducati unit in the LA I can go and play on. Searching through mates over there for the very best Insurance policy first though, before pulling the tricker haha in case, Fuk it, we are all dead a long time eh, time to get on with shit again now I am DEPT free yee fukin ha finally. My next MILLION dollars will be heaps easier to earn this time around, and a lot more fun after what I have put myself through ( And others around me, you included by me being a wanker)
