There are heaps of FAST riders.. some don't go and broadcast it all over the place... but they ride real FAST.
Some prefer to do there fast stuff on the tracks.
Then there are those who like to do wheelies real fast...
So there are many who can ride FAST, but don't need to prove themselves either on here or to others. The FAST riders know who they are...

Then there are others who like to ride because they love bikes.... they also don't need to prove themselves...whether they ride fast or slow.

But you obvisously want to prove you are one FAST rider.
How about when you get to Auckland, go to a track day and show how fast you really are.

What it really comes down to is this... are you a safe rider?
Whether you ride fast or ride slow.

You were behind me and Draco and I think one other rider. You passed Draco on your exit from the hair pin and were right on top of me as I was straightening out to go through the esses. You shouldn't have been that close - your tank was beside my rear tyre. If I maintained my line we both would have ended up on the floor and probably taken out Draco with us....

I saw you that close to me and instinctively rode off accross the grass.......

Taking a bit of a chance with a rider that had then been riding for only 3+ months - eh.....

I saw some mad buggers on saturday they looked FAST riders taking off down west road, was it anyone from here , one on a gixxer thou(i think, and the other on a r1 or a cbr1000), one of them was doing a weave in the main st of clevedon, waiting for a car to get out the way leaving clevedon, and heading back towards papakura, then taking the west road, i would have liked to followed and attempted to stay with them, but strangely the mrs cuts of circulation to my lower body when i go over 120-130, so i didnt bother..

was it anyone from here ? saw a few bikers out on saturday round the omana maraetai, beachlands area

Often I see them riding at speed around blind bends (common on the port hills down here), cutting up traffic in a foolhardy manner or performing other such maneuvers that would result in injury should the unexpected happen.

A real 'fast rider' would be someone who could get themselves from any point in auckland to anyother point on the other side of the cbd at rush hour without putting themselves or anyone else at even the slightest amount of risk. :)

Not true 2,7. If someone is fast, and are riding fast they are fast not because of natural talent ( although this plays a big part ) they are fast because they push limits and when you push your at risk of comming off your bike.

A good rider to me is someone who can engage brain and body both at the same time. Having the ability to calculate the fastest and safest track through dense traffic that is constantly changing position is a shit load harder that going fast round a corner on an open road. Anyone can do the latter with a bit of effort, but only the best can do the former without injury.

im slow too!! i dont bother going too far over the speed limit, already lost my license once when i had my 400.....Personally i think id rather ride safer for longer.. i have a motocross bike for going ape on. I saw some mad buggers on saturday they looked FAST riders taking off down west road, was it anyone from here , one on a gixxer thou(i think, and the other on a r1 or a cbr1000), one of them was doing a weave in the main st of clevedon, waiting for a car to get out the way leaving clevedon, and heading back towards papakura, then taking the west road, i would have liked to followed and attempted to stay with them, but strangely the mrs cuts of circulation to my lower body when i go over 120-130, so i didnt bother..

It can be done at an average of ABOUT 80 odd kph.
Do a google on RUSTY NUTS MC,it's all on there,ride reports and history ect ect.
