Anybody know a good alloy welder in Auckland that can work on a swingarm for me?

Does it have to be welded? Shit is well tricky on cast parts, esp those contaminated with oil.

Haven't seen him on here for a while but the guy with the 'busa did alloy welding. Was building a drag bike out of it.

He is a good guy and my first choice but he is busy with other things.

Machine Part Welding were always the best - I don't know if they are still going these days.

James Simpson Engineering - Unit 2, 15 Piermark Drive, Rosedale

He did a good job welding a spool back onto a swingarm for me and was pretty cheap

Perhaps if you were an engineer you'd know 'well tricky' doesn't mean impossible, it just means expensive

It's also generally a good idea when someone who is not an engineer asks for a well tricky job, to get some clarification as to the job description and whether the well tricky approach is indeed the correct one.

I would rather my swingarm stays in one piece so yes somebody that knows what the hell they are doing will be getting the job. Its a job where quality beats price for sure.
