People tour the world on push bikes ... an XV250 is a BIG step up from that.
Reliable/economical ... whats the issue .. ??

35 years ago I used to prepare with for a long bike ride with tools, sleeping bag, tent, clothes, spare parts up to and including chain links and brake fluid, and the Haynes manual or equivalent.
These days I prepare for a long bike ride with clothes, GPS, credit card, cell phone, solar charger, and the dealer network on speed dial.
Still the same amount of fun!

Spear jocks, I imagine they stab you in the ass while you are riding. You are a harder man than me.

Spare underwear, spare overwear, cash for gas and parts, and a credit card for hotels. The world is out there waiting for us.

If you pause it at 1.16 and look very hard its an separate bracket coming back from the rear foot peg mount. Took me a while to see its not bolted to the swinger.

In which case it's a winner. I envy him the experience, I honestly can't think of any substantial benefits KTM might offer for that sort of work.
