The look on James May's face when his mum was talking about the way she didn't like the ride from low profile tires.

Priceless :D

Let the mums present the show for a change, should be interesting :D

The fact that an Atom is (almost) within the price bracket for us "average wagers" and has that kind of performance out of a Honda engine says a lot for the minimalist build ethic.

Some very good stuff coming up in later episodes, like some F1 drivers in the "reasonably priced car" (is Damon Hill REALLY the Stig? - find out soon), another epic race across Europe and a 4wd that can race over water!!

I cant rember what bike it was.... but it was a thou that was stock and it raced an atom around the track the atom smashed it. In other words cars are faster than bikes......

ditto... same as the time they raced the supposedly fasted road car against a 600c bike... dumbies

I lost all respect for Clarkson and his cronies when they sent that Volvo crashing into those caravans,I cried for days and will NEVER,EVER watch that program again!

Yeah, I was a bit pissed off when they dropped the skip onto the Maserati Bi Turbo. I'd give my right nut for one of those cages. Bastards.

Jeez Louise! $90,000 plus is a bit much for this average wager.
Besides, that's an STX300 and Superduke and K5 Gixxer thou and StreetGlide.

I think it is a brilliant program. Now let’s get one thing straight. I plan to never own a car, the van is practical for moving bikes but I'd rather teleport.

So I have no interest in cars whatsoever. Boooring! Can't get a dirtbike in the back of a car no matter how expensive it is. Well maybe a Yank tank.

The fact they can make a show I look forward to watching about cars is a credit to them. Yes Clarkson is a prat. That’s the point, it makes the comic interplay funny.

So do you love caravans or Volvos or both?

What was priceless last night was the other guys cracking jokes over what had gone wrong with Jeremy's new Ford GT. He should have bought a decent reliable Japanese car eh!

Had a 'decent reliable Japanese car' twice, both bored me to tears, first one was a year old, lasted until its first WOF and it went, 15 years later got another, it lasted 3 months.

As exciting and as functional as toilet paper.......

What made him think it would be different to any other Ford. (Fix Or Replace Daily)

I reckon somebody in Ford PR got something wrong...

To give Jeremy that many free shots at Ford is really not very smart. After all, he's not just some faceless consumer.

I watch Top Gear for entertainment, he is an entertainer. But I would love to see him try to ride a bike. Now that would be entertainment. :doobey:

I like his driving style - he's sideways all the time just for the hell of it....nothing better than getting well crossed up - car or bike.

The GT is still going better than that Merc SL55 AMG he had. Apparently that car spent 65 days off the road in the first 12 months he owned it... almost as bad as my Peugeot... :buggerd:

He said in one episode he would ride a bike he said he too scared as soon as you squeez the throlel you would fly off the back, him talking about some racing ducatti

What?

The thing about Clarkson is not to believe everything he says. The man is a genius at self-deprecating humour and not telling the world what he really thinks...

He's no Tiff though, he gets very ragged at times. I think it was Brundle that said he'd never met anyone with Needels car control, in or out of F1.

He's a bit ragged alright,he can control a slide well, but getting it back under control eludes him,it's always a big wobble snatch. But that's what a modern car with LSD and big fat tyres does - I can happily get an old VN Commodore sideways in the wet and control it with throttle, but later ones with fatter tyres and LSD snap back into traction so fast I damn near get thrown out of the seat,I think they are dangerous,it's not a smooth transistion at all.Kinda like a 2 stroke - they make and break traction several times in a corner, not making it look smooth at all.

Isn't that The Stig's job to do the proper racey driver stuff? Do we know who Stig2 is btw?
