Seen his camera mounts? (http://sportsbikesnz.co.nz/product_info.php/cPath/21_47/products_id/143)
Dunno if I would want to trust those sucker mounts too much, but looks pretty wicked.

Checked that out a while back linking from Trademe, I like the concept, aftermarket parts easily sourced locally, where it falls over is $. I just checked the price on 2 items, a hugger and a seat cowl.
The hugger could be imported cheaper from the UK or Aus (ErMax - colour matched not polycarb). The seat cowl i'm 99% positive is more expensive than the factory item, and still a fair bit more expensive than say the powerbronze colour matched item.
The guy obviously deserves to make a buck, but he'll find it tough to get support if it's cheaper to source elsewhere.

Interesting that sprotsbike.co.nz has no "contact us" section or any information that lets you know who or what is behind this "business". Sounds distinctly dodgy to me. Avoid.

In that case, yes, I am blind. Can't see anything along the lines of contact information of any sort.
Wait a moment, you mean the left-hand side. But why should I have to send in an email to find out who is behind this? Sounds dodgy. Avoid.

I have been in contact with the guy before (email) about some windshields for my bike and he has been quite helpful and (hypothetically) willing to be accomodating. I think that we should be careful about accusing a business of being 'dodgy' where this forum is potentially a source of custom for it, esp if 'dodgy' is unwarranted (IMHO). Besides he has posted about selling stuff in this forum with 'location' and has been upfront.

If he knew me well he would know that my "pits" are incapable of stench. If "he" has nothing to fear he should present himself for scrutiny.

After completely disregarding my own post earlier i decided i couldn't be arsed / assed sourcing gear myself (too busy as usual). Here's the deal so far.
I ordered 1*hugger, 1*radiator / oil grills, 1*seat cowl, 1*clearconcepts brake/indicator set, 1*plate/plate light hanger ( comin to get ya VTWIN!! )
Kitt has sent those items in stock - so brake/indicator set, hanger and hugger arrived yesterday. Hugger was missing 1 mounting bracket. Is now being sent.
Email communication is awesome! usually replies inside 2-3 hours (10:10pm last night!) and general service level seems pretty high. Has also provided celly # and told me to call at any stage for installation issues.
I think thats pretty good...

Hi Guys, thanks for the nice words, and honest words. I assure you I'm not a fly by night. This started out as a hobby and just sort of grew from there. Our prices on the website reflect largely Retail pricing. Anyone who registers on the website gets a pricing discount. Largely we are wholesale to the shops now, but do still supply to rural customers or people who won't buy from shops. I concurr that the prices listed look better over seas, but when converted to NZ dollars and after the Labour Govt, tax man, customs Int Freight then local freight come out it makes the price alittle different. Then there's also the risks of importing goods and insurance. We fully gaurantee all our gear to a high standard and aim to be about service not dollars. Im a biker not a marketing guru, (nor would i want to be) an honest bloke wanting to help others get what they need. Always open to honest feed back via "Contact Us" on our website...... Its always been there.
Kitt Wyatt: SportsBikes NZ... We sell surplus on T/me only, sometimes some bargains there.

Hey, just wondering SportsBikes NZ about your iridium screens, do you send in your screen to get chemically coated or are they replacements to the original?

Speaking of bike stuff...
Was thinking of perhaps picking up a rider to rider radio unit jobbie.
My bro is new at riding and I think it might be handy to keep in audio contact with him when out on a ride.
What do people think of these units? How much so I look to be paying?
Cheers,

Hi there, just a note for coment and confirmation, Mr Yates is actually GateKeeper Systems a web hosting administrater. He built my website, and I pay him to monitor and provide the web hosting. My Name is Kitt Wyatt, I am noone special, or particulalry interesting, just a biker who wanted bike parts a few years ago who couldn't find what he wanted. I then got some from US, got ripped off twice which hurt, then went searching. I found some stuff, paid for it, got it then every other tom dick and harry wanted them. So i got others the same stuff. Then someone said, you should start a buisness..... 50K later I had a website distributership rights for top UK brands and now after a few years a larger thriving wholesale buisness. I keep mostly under the radar so my dealers don't feel robbed of customers, but supply to rural and out in the sticks customers. My buisness gives 25% of its earnings to a worthwhile Youth focussed life education facility. Some people don't like me, but most do, and I do as well as my 2 kids and wife. I certainly arn't going to get rich on this, the more I earn the more I will give. Cheesey perhaps but I think there's enough money hungry places out there with out anymore getting in on it.
Anyone who thinks importing is cheaper, and they are better off doing it them selves, give it a go. Lots goes missing, its hard to ensure, you buy unseen with no gaurantee of getting, sharks galore, Importing duties, customs duties, GST, Freight both international and local..... its not as cheap as it looks, nor as easy, lots of blue tape o clear through.
My website www.sportsbikesnz.co.nz has all prices listed in Full Retail, if you register and sign in a login you will recieve a scaled discount. The min is 10%, Kiwi Bikers get 15%. I am always open to honest comments, and will happily take on constructive critism. I thank you for you honesty.
P.s Mark Yates at gateKeeper systems does the mean deals on website construction, hosting and service. I highly recomend him, also a top notch artist/ software engineer.

I have dealt with Kitt just recently & I have been impressed with the service he has given me. BTW Kitt the indicators look bloody greet on the RF:yes:
Kitt has gone out of his way to try to source something for me and was very helpful and efficient.
It was only by chance while being on the site that I saw his user name as online and ended up at this thread. I didnt know he was a member.
I am also importing and I agree with Kitts coments, if you think you can get it cheaper, quicker,..... then go for it. There are a LOT of hoops you need to jump through to get gear to your door from the other side of the planet.
I know that as a comsumer if I had an issue I would rather give some like Kitt a call on his cell phone than trying to contact someone in UK or elsewhere in the world.
