We have a very special track and a very good relationship with Kartsport Wellington and with more bike guys becoming members we have a long future at Kaitoke. With this in mind other Kart clubs around New Zealand are taking a look at what Wellington has done as a club and are welcoming bikes to attend their meetings, Nelson and Invercargill have already got Moto4 bikes running with a few more in the process. This has come about by the hard work of all riders at Wellington making sure their bikes meet the track protection requirements and respect the rules around being a club member and a key holder etc. Pat yourselves on the back!!
With such a big facility and with the passing of the track manager a few years back the club needs your help with the upkeep of the grassed and banked areas, with this in mind we have been given an area from the hairpin halfway down the hill to the pit exit to look after, So once a month we need to weed eat, mow and look after this area, the rest of the track has been split into areas and are being looked after by other Kart classes. So long story short if no one gets off their ass and goes and cuts the grass its going to show up like nuts, If all of us go up one Saturday morning every 4-6 weeks we can hammer it out in about 45 mins.
