Hey everyone,

I'm new to the site, and riding in general. I grew up on a farm with dirt bikes and the like and always thought it would be fun to get a road bike one day... turns out it is. I got myself a DL650 (lams) about a month and a half ago and have been going out pretty much every weekend.

Turns out no one I know has a bike... this seems like the place to change that.

I live in Christchurch and would be really keen to meet up with some folks for rides on the weekends, don't mind where. I'm comfortable enough on shingle ect ect. Hit me up.

shingle... and looking to mingle

Welcome to the site Heen.

The DL is a great 'do it all' bike. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. So glad that the LAMS scheme has made bikes like this available - rather than everyone trying to shoe-horn themselves on to little 250s.

Thanks mate.

Yeah I'm loving it. Only have about three thousand km under my belt but I'm really glad I took a work-mate's advice to 'get something big so you won't be sick of it in a month.'

Just did the Akaroa loop at 5am this morning which was sweet.
