By non-Govt criminals this time & they got guns.

Armed men are using Facebook Buy and Sell pages to lure motorcycle buyers to remote Waikato locations, where they are robbed at gunpoint of thousands of dollars.

The NetSafe dudes a moron tho... How would using TM be any safer? if they wanted to do it through TM there's nothing stopping them

NetSafe executive director Martin Cocker said Facebook was not set up to operate as a trading site and people were better protected by trading through local sites such as Trade Me, which had more suitable infrastructure to manage the risks involved.

That Waikato seems to be a dangerous place. Adds new meaning to the phrase "buyer beware".

I've used TM's Safetrade where the buyer places the money into a TM account till it arrives and then he pays, much easier than being robbed at gunpoint in the Waikato....imagine having to drink a nerve steadying Waikato afterwards.....yuk

dodgey as feck but not unexpected, south and north of hamilton city is full of growers and single braincell monkeys --- for a shot to be fired at the guy and proof on his car, they can now expect STG will be doing a sweep of the areas and a couple of stings setup over next year... run monkeys run...

Sadly that isn't how the lawyers would see it. They would say that you obviously intended to shoot someone otherwise you wouldn't have taken a gun.

On the other hand lawyers tend to be notable only for their absence when these things go down.

And congratulations on spelling "eh" correctly. Only two letters but rare hereabout.

we could have gone aye, but it's contextual... that's more like "aye aye cap'n" but can be an "ohh aye cuz?"
