For those not on the auckland bucket mailing list.
Hi Bucket Racers
This is a reminder that the Bucket GP is coming up fast! So get those leave passes organised, make those last minute adjustments to your bikes, make sure your nylon is up to scratch and get moving!
Here are some further details:

- Entry fee for the weekend is just $40 plus $10 if you don't have your own transponder.
- Formula Tokoroa: Entry is allowed on the day. And you'll have to come up with an extra $20 if you need a day licence.

Good stuff but may I suggest that there will be disruption on saturday as f5 riders try to get their f4 bikes but no one will be riding form took and f4 or 5.
Of course sidecar guys are affected but they are now.

I tried google translate but it didn't help.

Simples. Put F4 then formula Tok then F5 then sidecar leaves a gap for people like me. But it doesn't help the sidecar guys. But currently there is no gap for them. If it was F5, Tok, F4. . . hold on that doesn't work either.

F5, Toke, F4 works fine if the sidecar GP is run on Saturday.
Shall we do that?

But it doesn't suit Dave Henk.
Change it so Dave is happy.

I thought we were following his second suggestion. Is there enough medication in the world to make Dave truly happy? I'm going to guess that he will be staying away from the track again because he hates us all.

Ahh actually I missed that sidecars race is Saturday. Or did you just change that?
And I clearly stated my self interest and that of others but there is more than just me in F5. As long as there is time so we don't have to run and arrive puffed.
I often try to stay off site so I don't drink to my thirst. I stayed last year.

Henk
24th March 2015, 05:52
You can get a one day licence on the day for formula Tokoroa or the non GP sidecar races.

The 70, he has a 150 kit for F4.
I'll have a spare FXR, albeit a slow one along if he can't get the big bore kit back on the Derbi.

That's a shitload of racing (practice runs are just racing with no scoring). Might have to have a nanna nap or drink lots of Mother

For maximum value for money jump on a sidecar as well.

It's not that Dave, most of the folk likely to run in two classes in the past were on the organising comitee :)

We are going to get away at a reasonable time, but the other guys have to leave after 5:30 so they would have been super late to make it to the track & probably drive off the road so we are all stopping in at the olds bach in Turangi & we'll get up early for Saturday. What time should we be there before?
Henk
26th March 2015, 16:42
Depends on how much practice etc you want to get in. Rough timetable is in the first post in this thread, earlier the better in some ways so we can get sign on dusted.
F5 Dave
26th March 2015, 17:44
Ahh yes thanks. We'll leave at 8 which 1.5 hrs travel should sort us.

I am sure everyone is well on top of things but just a small reminder;
All bikes & sidecars will undergo a machine check before being allowed on track.
lock wired brake caliber bolts, shark fins and full nylon are essential. As is the red light in the event of a wet race.
See ya'll tomorrow night!

What MNZ rule states we must have shark fins on swingarms?
This rule only applies to the GP races, not the Toke cup,
Im sure the weather will be fine :,)
Rule 22.8.19
A chainguard or sharkfin made of suitable material MUST be fitted in such a
way to prevent trapping between the lower chain run and the final drive
sprocket at the rear wheel. Machines where swingarm shape or positioning
prevents fitment are excepted
Very easy to make, I used a bit of chopping board riveted to a small ally angle and riveted that to the under side of the swingarm
Rear red light, i taped a head light to the back of the seat unit, easy

Insomnia sucks. Also Snap the mouse had a terrible accident behind the bed last night, but he was a noisy little bugger before that.
