Selling the best bike I have ever had. Im likely to be moving overseas, so instead of storing this I would rather someone else enjoy it.
Heres the history of the bike.
There were three models of these made. The standard, the RS and the LE
This one is the standard however has been fitted with the RS can which is less than half the weight of the original. I've also taken out the db killer. This thing above 6 grand on throttle sounds like nothing on earth! Kinda like an old school Ferrari V8. Its intoxicating and makes you want to stay in lower gears just to hear it. Ive also put in a high air flow air filter. Out of the factory these were putting out 141Kw so shes got at least that. Its no Gixxer performance wise, but makes up for it in exclusivity, looks and massive amounts of WOW factor. Where ever it goes it gets a LOT of attention (and not just bikers)
This one was built in 2004 and went straight to the UK. They did not sell well and this one stayed in the crate until 2010 when it was purchased direct from the dealer and shipped here.
I purchased it about 18 months - two years ago with 2000kms on the clock. Since then I've clocked up 11000 kms. Mainly getting to work, a few squirts up to Wanaganui and Taranaki and a south island tour with a bunch of other Italian machinery.
Im still using this daily, doing about 60kms per day. So the k's will go up while she is on the market.
I put on a set of conti road attacks in January and these have plenty of meat left in them. Shes also had oil changes at 1500kms, 5000, 9000 and 12000 kms
Ive just done the 10000km service when I got back from the south island tour, so this was done as part of the oil change at 12000kms. Please be aware I did not have the shims done at this time as I was going to do it during the winter when im not using her as much.
Ill put photos up tomorrow at work. Right now Im clearing the tears from my eyes at coming to this decision.
