I am going to look at this on sunday, looks mint as from photos and has extensive service history, http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=863181632
Am also going to look at a 06 cbr600rr that has lower k's (26,000) and has been well maintained etc.
Im more keen on the gsxr just because I am a Suzuki nut, but was wondering if anyone has opinions on both of these bikes. I will be using it for weekend riding and track days

To my mind, comparable age 600's are much of a muchness. Unless your the kind of rider that can squeeze ever last millimeter of performance out of a bike, simply go with the one that fires your passion.

Yeah but when we're talking early-mid 2000's the differences are much much more than much of a much of a muchness.

2003 GSXR600 feels much much bigger than a 2006 CBR600rr. Also the CBR is way more linear, apparently. GSXR IMO feels like much more of a hoon bike though, apparently.

Likewise the 2003 ZX6R is a different bike entirely to the 2004, the 2003 GSXR is different to the 2004, 2004 CBR600rr is different to all the CBR600s before it, R6 has pretty much always been rowdy.

FWIW I would go for the 06 CBR if I had to choose between those two bikes, because it's smaller, but what do I know about sportsbikes or any bikes for that matter, go with your heart. Better to follow your dreams and risk disappointment than follow the opinions of some random on the internet and be left wondering "What if?"
