Just adding a quick wee report here, feel free to add some more.

The 2015 Sidecar GP was held today at Tokoroa.
Congratulations to Rick Ford and Henk Zeeven for their retention of the title for the second year running.
The GPR team certainly made them work for it With Scott and Kerry Griffiths swapping the lead several times through the fast paced race.
The top 3 was rounded out by Des James and Erica Gulbransen, the Loncin powered rig was also the first non FXR powered sidecar home.

The weekend continues with 'Formula Tokoroa' and the Formula Five and Formula Four GP's being run on Sunday.

Thanks To Simon Cain for the Photo's.

Yeah really enjoyed sidecar GP and other races yesterday, sorry Koba about the wheel issue in the GP especially as the sidecar won the other two races that day [ Brenton said he's going to sack me next time:bash: i'll shout you a drink next time i see you ] The back-water boys from Palmy certainly pushed Rick and Henk for the win. I think it was Scott riding and Kerry swinging for the GP then Regan riding and Scott swinging in the final event, good to see Chris Lawrence and Erica take the win on Brenton's rig in the final sidecar race. Saw Gordie doing performance exhaust enhancements on the scooter sidecar and it worked as with the extra horsepower the chair wheel couldn't take it and folded itself under or was it the weight of the swinger? Also saw someone doing doughnuts on the grass in the pits but won't say who that was [ hey Des James have you ever run your restored speedway sidecar? i think you would be a natural ] So thanks to all those that organised the GP and those who took part and gave us some great racing especially the support we get from the guys and ladies who run the bigger sidecars and Chris Lawrence for his work in trying to push the class forward.

Great fun on Sat with the sidecars, was a good scrap for the lead until the sidecar wheel bearing let go and we had to slide around trying to get a finish. congrats to the top 3, and to everyone else for taking part. lets hope we get even more sidecars next year which we should as there are a few more nearly finished. also thanks to Brenton for the use of his sidecar for last race so we could have a good battle with team GPR.

Sidecars were a real joy, good to see so many people take the rigs out throughout the day. Everyone who did was raving about the experience. Big ups to everyone who gets the numbers back to a genuine level, there are races within races and it was just so much fun to be part of. :second:

Sorry I didn't get to say thanks or goodby, I was sitting in the car to get out of the rain, Nek minit its driving away.

your sidecar is pretty good, I reckon I would have won if the chain had stayed on long enough to start the race, and the throttle cable had stayed on for the last 20 metres.

you need to give me those sticker sizes.

Sorry, I posted that and then 'got distracted' (Drunk).

I can't remember the exact numbers, Mylaps will have it but it was around 10.

Chris showed some good pace at points, sadly the race didn't go their way. The certainly have the ability to win it if it all goes well for them, maybe next year...

Looked good for the spectators, who was it that got you again :buggerd: still reckon it went faster after your exhaust mod [ well louder anyway ] Can put you on the battle truck next year, you won't kill that:laugh:

Always learning...

I felt we could draft the main pack but I couldn't get tidy enough corner exits to really mix it, still got L plates though!

Is it right me saying that lap times were 3 seconds quicker then last year? It seemed there were at least 5 rigs pulling good pace out there, a couple more and this thing would become a damn hard slog!

I think there may have been an issue in the second race with our rig and another who goes unmentioned. Our designated swinger can remember kissing their rear mounted engine and it being hard enough that the engine may have thought he was slipping it the tongue.

That same swinger came up to me afterwards and said in a very gentlemanly English manner..."how the fuck did you stay on that thing for so long..."
