Hi all,
The GP results are up on Mylaps now. You can get straight to them with this link: http://www.mylaps.com/en/events/1118349
Congratulations to Nathanael and ... er ... Nathanael, who took out the F4 and F5 GPs again. He did them both the hard way and deserves every accolade.
Congratulations also to Richard Eltherington who won the Formula Tokoroa Trophy and then took one of our transponders home (I'm sure it's already on its way back to Auckland, eh Richard?).
And last but not least, congratulations to Rick and Henk to who had to battle hard for their Sidecar GP victory over Scott and Kerry.

Cheers for the great work, and thanks again from GPR for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
Some threads have now degenerated into a David Bain scenario.
Probably time someone talked about compensation...;)
Good on ya Mel and Brian too, fantastic effort, and appreciated by all I'm sure. Regardless of what happened, you AMCC guys rock it on all our behalf's year in and year out.

Bloody good weekend as per normal. Despite the blasted rain and lots of falls, it was great racing!
Tip of the hat to Will who kept me honest. I'm still a bit annoyed I wasn't able to mount a full scale attack. I'll get you next time! :ar15:
I noticed there was a much larger number of Wellington-ers up for the GP than normal. Bloody good to have you bunch and see new faces, cheers for making the trip up!
Simon shot a tonne of photos, heaps of the sidecars when it was dry. I'll get those up as soon as I can (stupid internet scenario) so keep an eye out.
Cully, Steve, Mel, Brian, Tim, Robin and all those who flag marshalled, thank you!

Thanks for posting this Tim. And thanks for the tips and use of the easy up. Sorry I couldn't get myself into race mode I seem to have developed an unhealthy phobia I should try to get over. Or avoid, whatever is easiest.
You rode really well so felt bad for you. But good attitude.

when are people going to figure out that adding surnames actually helps both with outsiders understanding whose who when they're interested, and it doesn't also appear to be a closed shop????

Nathanael Diprose won F4 and F5.
Rick Ford (rider) and Henk Zeeven (dodgy swinger, but aren't they all) won the sidecars, but had a good fight with the Griffith brothers (Kerry and Scott).
tis not a closed shop, just it is only buckets, not real bike racing, so surnames don't matter, we can find them out from the results if we want. (I have enough trouble with first names to not want to have to think about surnames as well).
Tis people like me hiding behind other names on here that I have trouble with, and often have to ask Henk who the hell is Koba again?

I had to get some consolation for the DNF's in the other 2.
I think that's one each way for Henk and I in the sidebet. Glad there is some deterrent this time.
Gosh that hot-sauce wrecked me.

the hot sauce wrecked you? Henk told me it was the beers.
he also couldn't understand anyone putting it on their steaks lol
glad you enjoyed the radishes, even spotted a couple more growing, so Henk can eat those yuck things :)

It was Gin.
I think with a DASH of hot sauce it would be quite a nice mix.
Pity it was half hot sauce.
Yuck.

Epic Hot Zombie for those that are looking. Probably available from craft beer shops rather than anywhere else.

They sell Epic at the local Slack & Pave so I was going to look there first, but will widen the search if needs, cheers.

Just checked the times from practise. Looks like only Dave M and Nat smashing it. 42:0 Thats rather quick. Best people start training now and you might have a hope next year.

Some clown in B grade was second fastest overall in the first practice, he didn't get any faster though , didn't even manage to finish the race .
It was my year, that trophy was supposed to be mine :crybaby:

I was meaning to ask at the end of the day, what caused the DNF? Equipment failure or rider error?

Fear of getting beaten in B grade :eek5:
Was definitely electrical and at all revs so not the pick up or the battery, I'm guessing the rotor has spun on the crankshaft, some numpty may not have torqued it up :bash:

Always luck not to melt the thing when that happens.
