Hi all,
Am new to forums so bare with me! I've been into bikes since i was a kid but have finally decided after a few track days that i NEED to get a
track bike. so i bought an RGV250P (derestricted) in need of some TLC as a winter project. Its a standard road bike in a million bits but has all the basic goody bits to make a fun bike.

Anyway after stripping it down i have found that the cylinders need replating. I have been told that the best thing to do is to send them off to the UK
to "the tuning works" to get them done, but have also been told to send them to "nzcylinders" in ashburton. Has anyone dealt with these places?
Would like to do them here but have been told that "TTW" is legendary when it comes to RGVs so would appreciate any feedback on either place to help me make the best choice.

Any help would be mint

Cheers

FYI. God grandma is impotent to Hitcher. He's not so concerned about the smelling though.:bleh:

Ps Lots of people here have used the Ashvegas crowd with success.
There is plenty of testimonies on the site, or there was last time I looked. Keep it local or there will soon be no local left.

If your cylinders are poos there are other options, it might be cheaper to do a 300 conversion for instance.

Pretty keen to keep it mostly standard at mo. Reliable so I can sort suspension and my riding! Without having to stuff around keeping it running.
