Just scored one of these in lots of bits If anyone needs anything for one, motor is in bits so not sure if it is all there and has been outside for a couple of days in the rain.
If there is no interest I will scrap most of it and use some of the things I can on another project. There is a complete gs650e there too that I will be going to remove later, and a later model 1000cc suzuki that is complete that I am hoping to aquire too.:2thumbsup

Might be interested in the GS650e (or parts) - put a picture up of it when you get it

Yep will do:2thumbsup
Managed to get a pic of the engine bits off the 550 before the camera went on strike, don't think it has forgiven me for taking it swimming at easter.:(
As I said, it has all been outside in the rain for a couple of days and is starting to get a bit of cancer, but seems mostly cosmetic.:2thumbsup

i'm assuming from the caliper half visible that if there's a 550 front end there it's a disc....
If it's a drum let me know please.

Think it is drum, will get back to you on that. Only brought the engine bits home today because I was in the wife's car(which I now have to clean the oil out of). will be going back tomorrow with the trailer and get the rest.:niceone:

Carbs would indicate it isn't a "J" , I gave away two drum front ends many moons ago, they were $500 bikes back then
Did quite a few miles on the GT550J

Sorry Grumph, the 550 is indeed a disc brake model.
