There better be some sardonic wisecracking involved as well, that "Chewie, we're home" line was wetter than a wet thing.

Oh and good on that other guy with his electric motor and stuff.

I thought the Rocket story was fantastic - didn't think about the fantasy world - guess I used the wrong heading - these guys are terrific IMHO! :confused:

Yep, I agree. There are some really cool technologies out there and NZ, as always is right up there.:2thumbsup

It looks like an impeller for a pump but to make (carve it?) it out of shale is incredible!

You have to view from the mind set of the times as to what it was for and we can't really do that.

Maybe to replicate it (3D printing?) and try it out in different applications would help - but one would assume that they have already done that - very interesting!

I was reading something the other day that archaeologists in russia found a casting of an aluminium type substance that was found somewhere deep within the earth. They said that it must have been forged from all the studies they did, and estimated that it could be as old as 30.000 years old.
Interesting times indeed.
