The penultimate round of the King of Kaitoke was run today in unseasonably great weather.

The competition was a hot as ever, Glen Skachill managed to take 3 from 3 in the Scooterazzi A grade, followed closely by Stephen Coombes and Scott Griffiths in 2nd and 3rd.
The front of A grade was rocking along at lap record pace, undoubtedly Richard Ban would have also been right in the thick of it if it wasn't for an unfortunate issue with a 'warning light' earlier in the day.
The mid-pack dice in A-grade was phenomenally heated with Kieran O'Neill, Richard Eltherington, Kyle Hammond, Rogan Chandler and Malcolm Nabbs all pushing hard and sliding about trying to get the best of each other. Kyle managed some very impressive passing but failed to keep it together and crashed out of the second and third points races, the first crash being a certain contender for the 'Wynn's Wipeout' award, he managed to bounce OK from a full speed main-straight crash after running on to the dirt with far too much throttle.

Motorad B grade saw Matt Page taking all 3 first places, further strengthening his lead in the overall points race. The third points race could have gone quite bad as his bike began to stutter but a quick pit stop and bike change in the warmup got him mounted on Phil Page's new CBR framed bike, result: 1st again.
Peter Gooch managed second all day, he was vying for first and looking for a way to get past Matt for most of the day.
Dave Tompkins managed to hold on to 3rd in the series points with some quick bike swaps after a mechanical issue kept his own steed on the trailer.
Phil Page and James Patrick both took thirds with some heated battles running all the way through the Motorad B grade.

Make sure you get along to the Final round next month, there are prizes and bragging rights at stake!
