Hi fellow bucket racers,

As you're hopefully aware, round 7 of the AMCC bucket championship is coming up on the weekend of May 9-10. Just a couple of weeks away.

What you may not be aware of is that after the normal day of racing, we'll be running the Dominic Howe Memorial Trophy. This is an annual event in honour of a bike racer who died tragically young. It consists of two 20-lap races at the end of the day, one in each direction. Riders from all grades and classes are welcome to take part. Normally the smallish number of riders taking part means that we don't have to have any qualifying. However, in the event that we get a lot of interest, we reserve the right to qualify riders based on lap times.

Because it's a longer day than usual, we'll be trying to get through the programme with reasonable speed. The gates will open around 9am as usual. The sooner we get cracking, the easier it will be to fit all the racing in.

Hope to see you there.

Tim
