Humility should always beat ego.
My pick - Pacquiao in the 10th.

I would like to see Manny win because I belive that Floyd is a horrible human being. However he is a horrible human being who is almost unbelievably good. I think his superior defence and counterpunching might lull Manny into doing something stupid (a la Marquez).
But who knows. TAB had it 1.45 to TMT and 2.60 to Manny last time I looked. I dont bet so havent checked lately.
I will be watching with interest and cheering for Manny.

Win or lose, Pacquiao will go on to be a man of great things for his country.
Mayweather will just fade away into oblivion.

He'll always be remembered as a stellar boxer. And a horrible human being.
Manny's a senator already I think.
Did you watch Klitchko at the weekend? Not particularly inspiring I thought. Workmanlike.
I bet that Hayden Panettiere had to have a C section though. She is tiny and Wlad likely bred big babies.....

Heavyweight boxing has long been over-rated.
I'm still tossing up whether to go for the pay-to-view.
Last time I did that was the Cameron/Tua fight.
More fool me.

I will be waiting for the radio news for the result - good luck to both fighters - I feel Pacquaio will win but I really respect Mayweather as a boxer!
I hope that both men leave boxing in good light and that the bout lives up to all it's promotion hype! :niceone:

I've just been watching clips of Mayweather. He's really good.... the left hook that decked Hatton, the feet and head movement.
Such a quick right too.

the left hook that decked Hatton,
Ricky says Mayweather will win, I'm not going argue with someone who's been in the ring with both of them.

My pick is Mayweather - just. The guy is undeniably a monster in the ring and arguably the greatest boxer in his weight division of all time.
That said however - I would like Manny to win, he fights for more than himself, when he fights, he is fighting for his country - I think we will see a lot of passion and emotion from Manny, my hope is that it makes him stronger in the ring, but I fear it may swing the other way, with Manny fighting from the heart instead of the head.
Eitherway - should be a good fight - we have a Phillipino lady in the office and she is super psyched for the fight - each time Manny fights apparently its like a public holiday in the Phillipines.

i think what Pacman brings to the table is more of an Ali type figure, that he stands up for what be believes and uses his boxing success for the good of people, Mayweather may be one of the best ever, but he is a class A douche, with the prison record to match,
I hope Pacman knocks him out, but I beleive Mayweather will win on points,

Funnily enough, that's how I do my betting. It's probably why I'm so shit at it.
I'll be putting my traditional $10 on the Kiwis for a 13+ win in the ANZAC test tonight.
From memory it's only ever worked for me once before.

.
Joseph Parker is changing that. Fast. Fastest hands of any heavyweight I've ever seen too.
Love to see Pacman squish the clowns face in...but don't think he will.

My money's on Mayweather - before the 10th
Did you watch Klitchko at the weekend? Not particularly inspiring I thought. Workmanlike.
The Klitchko brothers are workmanlike fighters ... their size is everything .. fucken hard to reach let alone hit with power
Joseph Parker is changing that. Fast. Fastest hands of any heavyweight I've ever seen too.
Parker also has unbelievable power to go with the speed as well. A future world heavyweight champion there ..

Oh well, I hope someone gets to watch it live.
Only two places in Taupo are televising it and I don't think I can be bothered fighting the crowd.

Fucking tell me about it! Went over the road to the local...people are twenty deep on the footpath outside trying to get a glimpse at the TVs inside! I'm dead keen to see it...but not that keen!

Sounds like one of those bullshit milk it for what it's worth and rematch fights - glad I never succumbed to the temptation to waste $50.00! :oi-grr:

The power of advertising eh Pete? it's been the ''in thing'' over the last few weeks, this time tomorrow the ridiculous hysteria will cease and you'll be able to buy a beer without touching people. At least 70% of the 'be seen to give a shit' group watching the fight would not have even heard of at least 50% of the two in the ring. God bless Boxing.
Leonard V Duran 1980 was where Welterweight Boxing started, and stopped.

I skim read this and read, like that bullshit milk...
And thought, so THAT's what they colour it with :D

Well that little exhibition puts to rest the old adage: "You can run but you can't hide" - in boxing! - Mayweather ran and hid all night behind the judges!
Fight? - he did next to nothing and won on points! - How?
Mayweather only had to turn up and not get knocked down to win the fight! (and the appearance money)
Pacquaio would have had to knock Mayweather out to win! - Couldn't catch him - so he loses? - What a farce!
It was only a show event - not a fight - American professional boxing was the looser on the day! IMHO!

I didn't watch the fight - but this tends to disagree with you:

True! - So many men so many opinions. I watched most of the fight later at a friends place who had recorded it and invited me to watch it!
True! - I had the preconceived opinion that if the fight went the distance the scorecards of the judges would favour Mayweather regardless! (America!)
My opinion is just my own of course but I was a serious amateur boxer in my youth and do have an idea of judging the difference between scoring and non scoring!
The only non contestable result is a TKO (unable to continue) or a knock-out so everything else is simply someone else's opinion!
If you are an official judge - then your opinion is what counts - then it becomes judgement of the judges and here we all are!
I disagree with the official judges!
In a game of rugby you can defend your line all game for a draw but you have to attack and cross "their line" for a win!
Mayweather failed to do that more than Pacquaio did - IMHO! - Ever watched the Olympic boxing? - - -

Oops - it looks like Pacquiao was less than up front with his supporters and the match officials etc about his pre-fight shoulder condition - not a good look!
Sounds like he may be facing more than he bargained for in the courts now? - Mayweather might come out of all this as the good guy after-all. Ouch!

I know i'm a bit late as I only just joined the community but Manny never stood a chance, I made a few easy chocolate bars on that fight. I think the excuses by Manny would have lost him some respect.
