So a couple of weeks ago I smelt a lot of Sulfur and noticed smoke rolling out of my seat. I quickly realized my battery was a bit swollen. So long story short, after some research I changed the battery and got a new rectifier. That was about two weeks ago now. Been riding to work and back but that's about it.
Finally got a chance for a decent ride today and was gone for about an hour and noticed a sulfur smell. I'm assuming it's the battery again. But can it only be those two things?
I don't particularly want to go buy another $115 battery!
Bike in question is a 1989 Honda CBR250 Mc 19.

You need to stick a meter on it when its running to check the charge voltage...
If its just the rectifier you swapped - I suspect its a regulator that you need (usually in one unit these days)
Rectifier converts AC from the alternator to DC
Regulator keeps the voltage to within safe limits for the battery.
Batteries used to be called 'accumulators' so it stores electricity... if your battery is swelling up its probably got too much electricity - maybe drill a hole to let some out? (ignore this last bit - its Friday)

you can't let the smoke out of electronics, else they stop working!

Some people spend a lot of coin trying to get the smoke back in, and keep it in too
