gn250 issue

Hey everyone! I have a problem my motorcycle is a gn250....wwait wait there is more....ok having a gn250 isent my problem! Its the fact it won't start its a gn250 1982 iv had it working previously but have been messing about with it and changed all the lights and even after that I had it all working but anyway the problem happend after I took it for a ride and the motor seemed to splutter so I pulled over and and turned it off then when I tride to start it agian nothing would turn on not even the lights....so I walked it back home got a Brandnew battery changed the fuse but still.....no lights turn on seems no power is getting to anything? Im new to bikes and cant for the life of me figure this out
Anyone out there able to help me out?...i think I posted this in the right place if not can someone move it for me (im new to the Internet too)....

Is it possible that you've earthed a cable to the frame of the bike during your muck around?

You checked for power to the ignition switch?
And for earths?
And did you replace the cute little inline glass fuse?



I'll give ya $200 for it
