Went to the sandpit 2 weeks ago and again this weekend, the whoops were rough and deep. Spoke to couple of other riders that were surprised on how deep they all were as well. Don't the run the tractor through anymore? Keen to try somewhere different now

What did the staff say when you asked them about the tractor?

Yep, I noticed that too. Track prep used to be much better. Also there's the loss/degradation of some of the better tracks since tree felling.

It is looking quite bare with no trees in the carpark area but that cant be helped LOL
I haven't been out for a while but the place is still closed Monday Tuesday for grading.
It takes two full days to grade most of the tracks so you cant get round them all every week.
I also know Tony has put in a few more blue tracks because of the loss of the forest (which basically is only the Convict track).
I understand the new ones aren't being ridden that much. I suggest to go search for some more trails or free ride the forest, that's fun.
Its still the best winter riding we have.

None... And your point is?
You know absolutely nothing and are talking out your arse.
So before you make a complete fool of yourself I'd just let it lie.

Ok i'll let lie, but not because of your threatening tone.

Back to the OP, I went out a couple of weeks ago and noticed the same, big whoops on all the main tracks. Going out again on Sunday, so certainly not put off by it, but I get to ride sweet feck all since becoming a dad and it's bloody hard work with my current (non-existent) ride fitness level.

Not bothered by the lack of trees, or any trail modifications, just aware that it was maintained better in the past.

went to the sandpit yesterday in the rain, and was one of the best rides ive had there so far. i try avoid the yellow and green tracks, they turn into part rivers and dams. mainly stick to the reds and blues, and after abit of a soaking they were great fun, heaps of traction! very excited about winter riding!

Cool. May wander up during my week off in a couple of weeks.
