Hi guys,
I'm currently gutted between my choice between the next bike to ride and after much ado, I am left with two options that will satisfy me:
either...
1. De restrict a certain LAMS bike (HP increase from 45 to 65/70) - note I do have a 6F licence
Or
2. give a Supersportsbike a riser-clip on - I can't handle the back pain too much on supersport position
Basically I want a faired, sportsbike with an upright position, preferably an IL4 engine, but with how that is a rather niche market, and the Supersports are just too much of a pain to ride - I came with the two options I can consider to make it work.
However, I'm wondering if any of these modifications - when carried out - will require LVV certification or not? for legal and insurance purposes?
In regards to #1 - I've asked insurance companies and they're fine with that type of modification - or most modifications apparently - provided you have disclosed them to maintain coverage. but since the power jump is quite big, would it need LVV cert?
as for #2 since it may (or may not) affect the handling (i have no clue if riser clip on will affect the handling of a sport bike, lets say an R6!) would it require LVV certification?
Thanks in advance!
