PLANET-DISSOLVING DUST CLOUD IS HEADED TOWARD EARTH!
Monday September 12, 2005

By MIKE FOSTER

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Scared-stiff astronomers have detected a mysterious mass they've dubbed a "chaos cloud" that dissolves everything in its path, including comets, asteroids, planets and entire stars -- and it's headed directly toward Earth!

Discovered April 6 by NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, the swirling, 10 million-mile- wide cosmic dust cloud has been likened to an "acid nebula" and is hurtling toward us at close to the speed of light -- making its estimated time of arrival 9:15 a.m. EDT on June 1, 2014.

"The good news is that this finding confirms several cutting- edge ideas in theoretical physics," announced Dr. Albert Sherwinski, a Cambridge based astrophysicist with close ties to NASA.

"The bad news is that the total annihilation of our solar system is imminent."

Pyrocam: 9:20:55 a.m.: chur
checking now
Pyrocam: 9:21:10 a.m.: ahahahah LOL
Pyrocam: 9:23:17 a.m.: well at least we will be alive to watch it
Pyrocam: 9:23:25 a.m.: get your hazmat suits out fullas
Pyrocam: 9:23:33 a.m.: I wonder
Pyrocam: 9:23:53 a.m.: if people will sell like SUPER think and strong anti-giant-death cloud suits
Pyrocam: 9:24:13 a.m.: so people can hang a round a bit longer and watch earth geting eaten up by the acid shit
Pyrocam: 9:24:26 a.m.: and it could even have rocket boosters
Pyrocam: 9:24:49 a.m.: so if the suit survives the mangling-death-acid-pro-micro-particles
Pyrocam: 9:25:00 a.m.: you could fly around and watch it eat other stuff
Pyrocam: 9:25:03 a.m.: like the sun
Pyrocam: 9:25:26 a.m.: or raymond
Pyrocam: 9:25:46 a.m.: then you could fly off and settle down on another unsuspecting planet
Pyrocam: 9:26:14 a.m.: thereby spreading the flu to all of them and youve just killed off another worlds population
Pyrocam: 9:26:49 a.m.: so youd have to get back in your suit. put some banana skins in it (cos we all know from back to the future that thats what everything runs on)
Pyrocam: 9:27:02 a.m.: and perhaps go see whats been happening on earth
Pyrocam: 9:27:19 a.m.: maybe the acid didnt destroy it. just took the top layer off
Pyrocam: 9:27:35 a.m.: like some really good zit cream. the shit that makes your skin peel
Pyrocam: 9:27:43 a.m.: and then thers this whole new planet
Pyrocam: 9:27:53 a.m.: and theres freaking dinosaurs there! wow!
Pyrocam: 9:28:20 a.m.: unfortuantly the dinosaurs are also deathly allergic to the flu to and you kill them all off too
Pyrocam: 9:28:43 a.m.: ok Ive got to go stock up my bomb shelter now
Pyrocam: 9:28:51 a.m.: and look into patenting
Pyrocam: 9:29:06 a.m.: 'the death-cloud-protection-suit'

Good, finally we get to find out whether the Christians were right or wrong...

Bugger about the bikes, tho' - at my current budget, 2015 would be about when I could afford one...

so, should I run around like a headless chicken now and shag everything in sight and thrash the tits off my bike and not pay for fuel..?? Since we only have 10 more years left..
but then what if it misses us and shoots past? then what will I do?

carry on I guess.

He demonstrated that information about objects that have been sucked in can be emitted in mangled form.

"It now appears that mangled information can distort matter.

Sounds like he is talking more about our government....

Three score years and ten = seventy. The expected lifetime of homo sapien males!

Ten years from now I will be 76, my quota plus 6 bonus years! Made it!

Seems the only problem I have got now is the Christian question. Hmmmmm? John. :thud:

Hmmmm we shall have to see if the cloud can slow down after travelling 10 light years or so, and wether it is actually real or not. Could be a big conspiracy theory to get everyone turning christian :nya:

I would like to see more scientific proof and experiments done on it before I will take it seriously. Remember that comet that was supposed to hit us in 2019.. it was re-calculated to miss.

If it is real... lets just say there won't be just one ghost rider :wari:

eh that does suck...

But at least we all get to die at the same time...

and what does this say about the theory about God and the end times and such... hmmm.. one or the other is incorrect

Gas travelling at the speed of light eh? As my Asian friends would say, "Borrox"

But if it is true - wooohooooo - I can draw down my pension finds now and go on a trip of a lifetime. Maybe motormacycling around South America. I'll buy everyone here a beer first of course.

Read the third to last comment and the last one.

This seems like another pisstake. I just read another theory which was supposed to happen in 2004 june 9th with large meteors and dust and crap like that :| didn't happen of course.

And yes photographing something travelling at the speed of light towards is quite hard.... (rofl)

Calm down people. Look at the logic of it.

If it is travelling close to the speed of light, then how is is possible to take a photo of it? Photos rely on light getting here first, and the doppler shift from anything at that speed would make visible light invisible.

The solar system is 11,832,000,000 kms across, and somehow this is going to be devoured by a cloud 10,000,000 kms across? :weird:

Keep devouring aluminium with caustic soda to produce hydrogen and what happens? Whilst ultimately producing something that's the product of the constituent ingredients the attacking medium gets all used up in the process and becomes impotent.

i don't get that logic. isn't ALL light travelling at the speed of light, therefore EVERYTHING should be impossible to photograph?

Waylander
21st September 2005, 19:44
If something is traveling twords you at the speed of light then it is traveling at the same speed as the light it is relecting wich causes you to see it. So if you can see it then it would allready be where you are. Or something like that.
