Selling the CR to part fund SuperDuke.

$5500 no plates $6000 with new plates plus Rego and WOF (6months)

If your planning on not riding until summer you might like option A

Price is the cost of purchase and build.

Build Link http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/168897-BMW-K100RS-Project

Car Jam shows KM 130tho but 97 done in a 6month period indicates likely speedo replacement. The speedos cost a lot new and reconditioning a faulty one is also expensive.

1200 purchase
900 rearsets
250 brake master unit, 15mm BMW upgrade to suit 4 pot brembos.
900 paint job
250 tail
200 Electrics
370 tyres New
280 speedo
250 collector
250 wheels powder coated
60 wheel bearings
120 2nd hand pipe
130 braided brake lines
250 lithium battery
About 600 worth of little stuff (lights, indicators, oil, ally and so on)

Likely to land me in the Café racer and opti threads.
Not listed elsewhere. Ill tardme it near summer if not sold.

Price is firm unless you offer more than the asking price.

That is way cool. Seems a shame you are selling it... Although a SuperDuke looks like a shit load of fun too :D

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks.
Ill have it road legal in a couple of weeks and ride it a while. No hurry to sell and summer may be best time anyway to get a buyer. Unless SuperDukes go on special im in no hurry.

How did you find it compared to the 14?

Exciting ride but different. Down on power but delivers the power it has quickly. Hard to compare. 14r would destroy it point to point but SuperDuke would out handle the 14 as soon as the ride included tighter corners. I think the Duke may be a no go as im falling short of the required monies. Close but not quite. I keep juggling but come up about a grand or so short. Ill do some saving and see what bikes are available later on and maybe revisit the idea.

I couldn't help myself and went a very different direction.

CR has a new garage friend.

Looking forward to seeing a pic with a trailer attached.

42mm internal shaft on axel will need machined retainer gaps for internal clip to remain and a taper bearing on the swingarm side. D shape pull arm wont work so single sided for around wheel and single sided swingarm trailer required. Idd go for a 5.5inch or 6 inch rim this time. They write off ducati's often so maybe a donor bike required. Would need a trellis frame design also.:soon:

Very nice! I saw in another thread that you had traded the 14 so was looking forward to seeing your new ride. That looks like a lot of fun!

Something real odd about that Superduke. Are they the factory indicator lenses?

Are you talking about the new superduke?

Because I've watched it leave every superbike for dead out of any corner at Manfeild, made them look slow as fuck.

Yep

Hence

"14r would destroy it point to point but SuperDuke would out handle the 14 as soon as the ride included tighter corners."
Was a fun bike to ride but carried a high price tag. After visiting the F4 I couldn't help myself.

Found a use for my old Aprilia t shirt.

I'm trying to impress, that to around 160 k's the Superduke would eat the 14 for lunch. I don't understand "point to point". Unless those points are Aukland and wellington.

Nah it wasn't that fast unless it was in a corner battle. zx14r 2.5sec 0-100. KTM 3.5secs and the claimed 0-200 in 7.2 is more like 8sec plus even for a great rider. Personally I had difficulty believing it had 180hp but the factory must be correct.
What it did do very well was hold a line and accelerate out of a corner well. Bikes built for a different reason.
I cant understand why the SD has a gearbox so low geared in first that taking of in second is easier and a 5th and 6th gear that cant be used until your well over the speed limit. It was like having and 3 speed gearbox on the road. On the track your going to use 5th and 6th but you would be lucky to go lower than 3rd.

Maybe consider motard or endure trade or swap. Still not interested in chips though.

Last relist prior to visiting VTNZ next weekend. After that it will come at a higher price and ill be riding it around. Didn't think it would be hard to sell. At this rate ill save enough to buy a touring bike as well and keep it. Wont make wife happy but the garage is big enough.

Put the price up. Mrs can see your trying to sell it. If things get really heavy you can drop back to your original ask and look like a good guy. [emoji12]

Once its got new plate ill prop price up and use it for my short ride bike. It needs the rego etc to attract a buyer but once im riding it going to be harder to sell. Bit of luck no buyer and ill find a touring bike. Worked almost 30 straight hours last week so plenty of rego dosh should be available on Saturday for plates etc. Assume its $475 still for plate/rego and wof.
