newbie , accelerate and release clutch

hey guys

I have a ZZR250 , and well when I try to take off at the lights faster then normal , when I pull the throttle more and release the clutch the bike wants to die , but if I rev at normal throttle and release clutch slowly it rides just fine ......

I don't know if its me or the bike .... just find it dangerous when at the front of the lights and everyone going forward and I stall or something because of this ....

im purely newbie so got to ask it

When more throttle let clutch out same way as normal. The control is with the clutch lever more than the throttle.
Best practice launching in quiet area instead of intersections.

Also sounds like the motor is bogging down at full throttle, which means it could be starving of fuel?
So it could have a blockage or it might have the air filter element removed or is simply running lean.

A dirty air filter might have the same result.

yep it revs fine when going etc , but if I rev it when clutch is in sounds like it wants to die

If you are able to check these things out, then do it. If you are in any doubt, take it to a shop. 4 carb setups are not fun if you are unsure.

But you wouldn't be implying that the ZZR250, an inline twin, has 4 carbs would you? :msn-wink:

Its pretty hard to tell if you talking about a power delivery issue, or a technique issue. Are you saying that under any engine load, the bike is bogging? (Aka when the bike is free revving)
