I sold my NC30 a little while ago because I thought I'd be leaving the country, but my departure date has been pushed back to October, so now I need a cheap bike to get around on in the interim.
I'm wanting to spend up to $2000; my only criteria are that it be in good running condition as I don't really have the time or money to throw at a project.
I've been considering the Hyosung GT250R's as they're very cheap, and have a frame that will accommodate my size nicely, so if someone has one of those they want to get rid of for under $2000 that would be great.
Open to any suggestions/offers of other bikes though. I'll only be keeping it for about 4 months so I'm not all that picky.

CHeers Mossy, that Comet looks like a good option if it goes cheap. Hopefully the rust puts off potential buyers!

I had one of those for a very short time. Bought it off trademe and advertised after a few weeks. Tall riders need not apply. Zero leg room before fairings start. Wasn't happy with suspension or handling but a few dollars could have sorted that. I tried getting seat packed up 2 inches but still cramped. Bike for the sub 6foot guys.

Hmm, either of those could work if they go cheap enough. Always a bit of a gamble in terms of work required though. 'Running well' can mean very different things to different people.

Not too sure about that, I'm 6'3 so might have a bit of trouble. Looks like it might need a bit of work too. Love that engine though, I used to have an old oil boiler 1200 Bandit and it was great.

Not knocking them but im 6'4 and I would suggest you find one to at least sit on first. Normally I wont find anything uncomfortable to ride. Be careful comparing engine also as the gs has a very soft cam. Saying that I love the way they look. Even the stock exhaust looks cool.

Lol, I'm 6'4" & a shade over 100kg and didn't have too many issues with comfort....Silage has one & he's of equal height, hes done a shitload of kms on his without complaint (he is older too).
Whole package is simple & bullet proof.....mine even ran on a diesel mix once. Simple as piss to tap into extra hp if wanted, did straight forward bits with my one and it went really well; but in real world use the punch on tap is near perfect.

Another way of looking at it is: if you folded up into the NC30 you'll find a GS12 decidedly roomy & spacious :msn-wink:
