...OR ALL THOSE MUSLIM PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWEREDI didn't think you believed in god?
One terrible tragedy after the next, I am very sympathetic to all the victims...I have no comment to make about why I think this is happening (because none of us know), but I will say that *we* are blessed to be here and not there! :(

Not two, 17 named ones so far in ten months and five more lining up out in the Atlantic
The Pensacola area of Florida still has over 100,000 people in temporary residence from Hurricane Ivan, 9 months ago. If it is natural justice mother nature needs a geography lesson. She's hitting on the wrong people and the wrong places.

http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/haarp/ A little more info:
They say: "The HF Transmitter is used primarily during research campaigns to support interactive study of the ionosphere." But they swear they can't effect the weather.
Uh huh...
If it were true that they could, the conspiracy theory is that HAARP would be used to alter the weather to alter the battle field conditions to suit themselves. Calm weather for a beach landing, a storm to make the enemy stop movement and shelter while the yanks conduct a sneak attack.
But I do not think the americans are so bloody minded as to whip up a series of hurricanes that hurt their own people and destroy infrastructure. They could be insane, but they are not stupid :-)

Amen. This could have something to do with it.
Eccl. 9: 11 "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill, BUT TIME AND CHANCE HAPPENETH TO THEM ALL"

Half of them voted against him as well, and plenty of them are going to get shat on by this hurricane.

This storm season is nearly as bad as the 1962 one. It isn't a one off. Weather scientists are finding weather patterns that are a couple of hunderd years long, and as they've only been collecting reliable data that long, you can be sure that there are millenial weather patterns too.

While I sympathise with the individuals affected, I can't help thinking Karma. People seem to forget the the planet is a living organism.
We also have a certain level of control over the risks we take. When I saw about the Texan port town (forgotten it's name) and how the town had been flattened 100 years ago by exactly the same thing. All I could think of was those people you see on the news each year in Tornado Alley who's home is destroyed by a tornado. Do they move? Oh no, they build another house on the same spot and cry for the cameras the next year when it's destroyed by yet another tornado.
It's not rocket science. Christchurch is built on a swap, one day nature will reclaim it's swamp. I read a study after a particularly small Tsunami hit Christchurch (small in it's size when it hit Christchurch that is, it was bigger elsewhere including Hawaii and Japan), that they worked out it would only take a 1 foot rise in the water to flood the entire city. People are selfish though, that's why you have fools and property developers at Brighton who want the sand dune demolished because they block the ocean views, the fact that they are a natural protection (not a prevention, but nothing is) against a rogue wave/storm reclaiming the city doesn't factor in.
Same can be said about those Aussies who live in the middle of the bush outside of Sydney and then are surprised when they're constantly under thread from forest fires.
A lot of people don't give the planet enough credit for being able to protect itself from , and regulate against "Us" or any other threat.

Global warming.
The US & China have both been hit by massive storms this year.
Is it a co-incidence that they are the top two most polluting nations in the world?
Has mother nature got PMT?
Karma? Nah, Karma doesn't kill thousands.

The thought occured to me too. George Dubya believes God speaks to him. Has he thought that God must be awfully pissed off at Merkins right now?
And why?
Or does God only speak and tell you things that you want to hear?
Or, worse still, is Allah winning the celestial WWF world series?
Buggered if I know. I'm just a mushroom.
